More About Bruce
Bruce Baron is a founding partner at AppSolute Consulting. He leads the company’s sales and marketing efforts while ensuring customer satisfaction. Back in college, when technology was beginning to play a bigger role in the accounting field, Bruce knew that he wanted to combine his finance and accounting skills with technology. He began his career at Ernst & Whinney as a Certified Public Accountant on the audit team. After that he spent time as Controller for an apparel company, and he eventually merged his accounting background with technology at an innovative tech startup “back when Microsoft was still a small company,” he says. That time provided Bruce with invaluable experience, ultimately leading him to another accounting firm. Eventually, Bruce and his co-founders spun off together and formed AppSolute Consulting. Bruce is proud of AppSolute’s hands-on, roll up your sleeves kind of operation. With customers at all levels, the field-based consultants at AppSolute implement simple hardware and software solutions for complex business problems. Every one of AppSolute’s clients has unique problems and challenges, even if they’re in the same industry. Bruce says, “I like watching these projects evolve into solutions that meet customers’ needs. It’s rewarding.” Within the ranks at AppSolute, there’s a high level of experience and a low employee turnover rate. Their group of expert consultants has been together for a long time and approaches every project as a team. “We give team members the opportunity to make decisions. We are all working for the same greater cause.” Bruce is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. A lifetime New York Yankees fan, Bruce was born into a love of baseball and passes that love along to his own children. One of his personal interests is visiting baseball parks around the country while he’s traveling. Bruce and his wife have two grown children. He spends his free time enjoying family, playing golf and working out.

More About Eric
Eric Grasman, founding partner of AppSolute Consulting, has over two decades of experience providing clients with the core information systems necessary to manage their businesses. After beginning his career in information technology with a consulting firm, Eric moved to a Fortune 500 corporation to build on his experience by managing technology systems. He spent several years there, eventually signing on with a large accounting firm. There he met his current partners and their work together blossomed. It soon became apparent to Eric and his future partners that they could provide better service to their clients at a higher value. In August of 1997, Eric and his current partners formed AppSolute. Since then, he’s been eagerly engaged in satisfying clients’ needs and providing effective solutions using the Sage MAS and Microsoft Dynamics suite of business systems. He calls himself a ‘fix-it guy’, and thoroughly enjoys the challenges of each new day. Above all, Eric values integrity and believes in performing an honest day’s work for an honest fee. AppSolute’s clients’ businesses are predominantly in distribution and sales, with revenues that range from a million dollars to a several hundred million dollars annually. Because of the shared values of the team at AppSolute and the quality service they provide, clients remain with the firm, returning the loyalty they are given. Eric credits the firm’s low staff turnover rate to its decentralized management style that empowers the staff. “Our style is to let people do what they have to do,” Eric says. “It doesn’t matter much what your title is. It matters that the work gets done.” Eric makes time to enjoy his wife and son in their home near Massapequa, NY. They have a power boat and spend as much time as possible out on the water. He also enjoys billiards, having toured as a tournament player. These days he’s satisfied to “rack ‘em up” with friends and family in his game room at home.

He oversees all facets of the division including the engineers that service clients, and works to build lasting client relationships. Michael and his staff work mainly in the field covering Metro New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. More about David
David Hoffman is a founding partner at AppSolute Consulting. His background is in Accounting, and while he understands that IT, accounting and software are serious business, it’s important to him that the company culture at AppSolute be relaxed and friendly. With this philosophy in mind, David and his partner set out to be more than just business associates to their clients. Before founding AppSolute, David and Bruce were already working in the accounting software field, but their friendly approach to customer service and solving client problems wasn’t a fit at the company where they worked. The two were inspired to set out on their own. “We had analyzed the market, seen the gap and we had ideas about how we could fill it,” he recalls. “We were able to take control and do things our way.” David sees two values influencing AppSolute’s approach – accountability and accessibility. David is emphatic about being accountable. “We believe in stepping up to the plate when we make a mistake, learning from it and making amends for it, “ he says. AppSolute ensures accessibility with a dedicated help desk known for its rapid response time. David majored in Accounting at Brooklyn College and is a Certified Public Accountant David’s favorite TV show is The Big Bang Theory — “The one with all those geeks,” he says. When he’s not on the job, David loves to spend time with his wife and three kids doing the things that his children love to do. He’s a sports buff and as a New Yorker he can often be found catching games whenever the Yankees, Knicks and Jets are in town. David also serves as a Director of the education board where his sons attended school.

More about Viktor
Viktor Zelenko is a Senior Consultant at AppSolute Consulting. He has spent over half his life in the United States after emigrating in the nineties from his hometown of Minsk in Belarus. Trained as a civil engineer, he studied accounting when he arrived in America but found his niche as a computer programmer, starting with Visual Basic. Vik gets a charge out of meeting a variety of challenges. Puzzling out the solution to a pressing client need gives him a sense of satisfaction and achievement. The purpose of consulting is to make clients working hours easier. Building long-term relationships cements his ability to meet their needs and help them achieve their goals. AppSolute’s philosophy of providing exceptional customer service is evident in Vik’s work. He says, “We are not big in numbers, but we are big on really taking care of our customers.” Vik is now a resident of Brooklyn, New York with his wife, who likes to tease him about his “second wife” – his laptop. Even while relaxing at home, Vik is likely to explore ways to make things better for his clients. His favorite movie is Once Upon a Time in America, which he first saw while living in Belarus. In addition to the life lessons about friendship and trust that he found in the film, Vik said it also helped him learn the subtleties of the English language. More about Vincent
Vinny Mantia is a Senior Network Engineer, responsible for project management, documentation, and planning for clients’ network deployments and expansions. This requires extensive knowledge of both hardware and software. The best part of the job, Vinny says, is problem solving. “My best days are whenever I go to a client’s site and I have to solve an issue that was ongoing, or maybe even a call in the morning where it’s actually kind of a disaster, like a server down, and I have to get them up and running again as fast as possible. If a client’s server is down, they may be losing thousands of dollars an hour, and fixing that problem makes the client happy and makes me feel great. I love ‘superhero’ kinds of days.” AppSolute’s “get it done” culture puts Vinny in charge of his clients’ satisfaction, which is exactly what works. Juggling and balancing the needs of his clients excites and invigorates him. “We’re really like a family. We’ve all been working as a team for a long time, and we’ve all depended on each other at different times. We get the job done.” Vinny constantly studies to stay abreast of new technologies. He holds certifications in Windows and Mac OS, Cisco routing and switching, SonicWALL, SQL database, Citrix and terminal servers, and GPO and VBS scripting. The biggest trend in IT now, he says, is virtualization and cloud computing. Assessing how and where to best deploy these new technologies is all part of a day’s work at AppSolute. Vinny is a Queens native. Raised in Glendale, he currently lives in Long Island with his wife. Surprisingly, for a Queens guy, he’s a Yankees fan but his real passion is hockey and he follows both the Rangers and Devils. He also plays hockey in a local league, and he’s an avid bodybuilder, working out six days a week. “It’s kind of funny,” he relates. “I’ll go on site, and clients see me and think I’m not your typical IT guy. Pretty soon they’re asking me for fitness advice, too.”
